Neymar: “I'm thrilled with everything at Barcelona”

In Brazil with the national team, Neyma explained his life in Barcelona is “relaxed - I've not changed at all" 

Neymar also stressed the fact that he has: "freedom to attack" and that one of Barça's main characteristics is: "the pressing we do when we lose the ball” 
As hosts, the Brazilian team are of course guaranteed a spot at next year's World Cup, so they are playing two friendlies this weekend. On Saturday they face Australia, with the second match against Portugal next Tuesday. Barça's Dani Alves and Neymar will both be involved and this summer's signing held a press conference today and spoke about his experience in Barcelona: "I have a relaxed and quiet life there and I am thrilled with everything. I love the city, the Club and the people I am working with. Everything is in place to be perfect".
Neymar also explained: “my aim is to play in the best competitions in the world and that's what I'm getting with Barça.  I'm gradually getting to know how everyone plays and they are finding out about me".

Neymar is beginning to adapt to Barça's footballing style and insisted: “I am still the same as always, I'm not any more restrained at all, Barça give me plenty of freedom to attack, just like I had at my last club and with the national team".
“Since Felipe Scolari has come in I come back to cover the full back and one of Barça's characteristics is how we press when we lose the ball. That's something I've introduced into my game and I am working on".
“Messi is on a different level”
Neymar's relationship with Leo Messi was also brought up at the press conference: “Messi is on a different level. I admire him and respect him. He's been teh best player in the world on four consecutive ocassions and he's got it all to win it again".

Barça's internationals will be playing today, whilst the players left behind  -Pinto, Oier, Piqué, Montoya, Adriano, Bartra, Mascherano, Dos Santos and Tello- had their final training session of the week at the  Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper under assistant coach Jorge Pautasso and physio Elvio Paolorosso.
The players have been given the weekend off and will return for training on Monday, when boss Tata Martino will also be back at the Club after his break in Argentina for personal reasons.

The work on relaying the new pitch at the Camp Nou began today, with 8.000 square metres of new turf set to be in position by Saturday lunchtime. With rain forecast for the weekend, preparations for the relaying were brought forward a few hours
With heavy rain showers forecast for the weekend, the work on relaying the new Camp Nou turf began earlier than planned this Friday morning. A total of  24 trailers are set to bring the turf in during the day  from Bordeaux with all 8.000 square metres set to be in position by Saturday lunchtime.
New heating system ready to go
The pitch's new hydraulic heating system -  made up of two boilers and 35 kilometres of under pitch tubing - is already installed and it will ensure that the grass will be constantly between 6 and 13 degrees, to ensure even growth and help maintenance.
The same under soil heating system is employed by 14 of the top 18 Dutch clubs including Ajax and PSV, as well as  Shakhtar Donetsk, Copenhagen and Schalke amongst others.
